$90 Million, Widening 5 miles of Interstate 81
This project added a 12-foot continuous truck climbing lane to Southbound Interstate 81 on Christiansburg Mountain from milepost 120 to milepost 125 along with an upgrade to the median and outside shoulder. Three bridges were replaced as part of this project, two of which are secondary road bridges that cross over I-81.
